Breaking NEWS NOVEMBER 22 hockey has been rescheduled til the end of the season. DAMMIT

November 9, 2017

So now you know, for some reason, people don't want to play hockey the night before Thanksgiving. So, this was not a decision made by yours truly, so I will comment. Hockey was born in Canada and that thanksgiving came and went and we played hockey. And I will guarantee, Canadians all over Canada played hockey the day before and the day of Canadian thanksgiving. This is an outrage.

Ok so now you know how I feel. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

in hockey news, James Auto did a little disappointing themselves, that is for JNM transportation. James Auto would start the scoring 41 seconds into the game with a solo shot by Kevin Smith. Brian Sally would gut it out towards the end of the first to tie it up. In the Second Smith would strike again with the help of Mile Landry and Dave Poisson. And again, JNM would tie it up again, Ken Beck with the helper. The line would do it again, Poisson would take the heavy lifting getting the assists, were Landry and you guessed it, Kevin Smith. In the end it would be Smith with 4 goals and an assist. Landry chipping in with 4 assists and Poisson getting a goal and 2 assists. It would be too much to handle for the green as James would win 5-3.

In the surprise of the night, Kays would lose to Green Goddess. This was a tight game with all the scoring in the second. Green Goddess would swoop in finally cracking the egg 2:19 in with Richie Dias and John Pierce setting the table. Kays would swoop back tying it up was Dennis Tancrell being set up by Ron Picard. Kays would go ahead with a goal by someone wearing John Hassett's jersey set up by John Malatesta. Unfortunately, that would be all for the men in white and teal. Joel Cooper would strike twice. One goal to tie it up and one assist to Rich Dias to win the game.

And now for the game of the night. You may have seen this one if you were in the warm room. Or you might have been watching the Bruins lose and effing Celtics getting their 10th in a row. In any event, this was an event. The hapless J&J would versus the vaunting CMSI. It started out with CMSI popping in the first goal off of Rich LaPlante's stick, knifing in the opposite side of the net. The teams Sponsor and John Ruggiero took the team on his back and popped in a solo shot taking it off the defenses stick and making the turnover count. CMSI would take the lead back just before the end of the first. Jimmy Meegan would get set up by Coach Phil Pincine and Dave Gavin for the game tying goal to start the second for J&J. And then something unbelievable happened. J&J took a lead Peter Meegan popped one in by great passing by Ruggiero and Derek "Green Pants" Franco. Well that didn't last long, Rob Blasé and Arti would toy with yours truly and pop in the tie. And then Captain PETE would drive the net and take the lead back. In the end, Arti would strike again to tie it up. The scoring would end there, but the excitement continued. Opportunities on both sides where the goalies, Mike Dussault for J&J and Joe Lafreddo for CMSI would hold off the "slings and arrows" and skate to the tie.

Great night of hockey boys!
