North Smithfield; As the crisp damp fall air covers the northeast, hockey is alive and well in the Rhode Island. As the titans of PGA Hockey begin to darken the doors of the old barn on 146, the excitement is a like an old friend welcoming you home.

At the onset of the evening, Kays, donned in their whites, took the ice against the black of J&J Auto. J&J would get the party started by a quick goal on the first shift of the B line. Kay's responded in kind. However it took them 6 more minutes to get there. Gary Zendelis would score twice with the help of John Malatesta on both. John Ruggiero, team sponsor, would get 2 goals for J&J Auto. One in the second and one in the third to keep his team in the game. John Hassett would be the J&J killer for Kays. Hassett would get the hatty and 2 helpers to lead the team with 5 points. You have to tip your hat to John Engles getting 3 assists and a goal to finish off the scoring.

CMSI name change has certainly helped. CMSI would dominate the first period of play, getting 3 goals. Keith Choquete, Chip Buckley and Kevin Smith would get the next 3 goals to tie up the score in the second for James Auto. All of a sudden it is a game again. CMSI would come back and finish the second with a 5-3 lead. CMSI would then change the climate of the game and turn up the heat early in third, leading the team by 3. Again James Auto would get a couple more goals out of Buckley completing the hat trick. It would not be enough as the lead for CMSI was too great to come back from again.

The Green Goddess ??? Who you say is the Green Goddess? Well you may say to yourself, I loved those pretty baby blues of 401, they brought out my eyes. Now you can get the same effect if your eyes are green. And they may be, with envy that is. As the 401 is now Green Goddess, they donned a clever and slick jersey that is reversible. What a great idea. Apparently Joel Cooper likes his new garb as he got the Goddess 4 points in total. They came out screaming with 3 goals in the first, 2 by Cooper. JNM put up a great fight in this one. Brian Beck lead the other green team, JNM getting 2 goals to catch up with the Goddess, and then a helper on Mike Vacher's goal. They still were playing from behind. In the end the new jerseys and the new name put Green Goddess over the top. Hey Richie are you number 9 now? Cause i think you scored two?

What a night of hockey. Kays continues its dominance along with James Auto. A couple of new sponsors and a couple of teams that need to find their groove.
