James Auto Stays ahead of the class
James Auto continues its winning ways, coming out of the first with a 1-0 lead. James would come out halfway through the first with a goal by Chip Buckley. Otherwise the first was quiet as the teams joisted in the middle of the ice. In the second James would put a huge gap in their lead getting 2 more. Kevin Smith and Dave Poison would set up the first of the 2 next goals. John Morais would get the other making it 3-0 James. Kays would not lay down on this game. Dennis Tancrell would get one set up by Ron Picard cutting into the lead. Jeff Eastman would join the fun getting the next one from John Malatesta making it a game 3-2. In the third Cantrell would strike again for Kays, tying it up and pushing the envelope of one of the great match ups of the season. He was set up nicely by Gary Zendelis. James Auto would fight back for the lead, Buckley would chip in again, (see what I did there) this time unassisted. Kevin Smith would get the next one for James Auto, widening the lead to 2 once again. Kays would not be done, Jeff Eastman would make this a hell of a finish by putting in the next one. Kays would need more time as the game would expire 5-4 in favor of the league leading James Auto.
In the second game, JNM would be facing their arch nemesis' CMSI, it would be like celebrating Christmas a couple of weeks early as Red and Green would be flying around the ice. Brian Beck would get the party started for the Green as JNM would jump out early. CMSI would not wait long to tie this one up as Will Houle would set up the tying goal. The tie would be broken by Brian Sally would be set up by linemate and good friend Brian Beck. Beck was a beast in this one. CMSI would tie it up with the only goal in the second. The third would start with two quick goals by RED both set up by Will Houle, the MVP of the game. JNM would come back with an unassisted goal by Mike "the Mis/the master, the Vash himself" Vasher. JNM would tie it up again with the other Beck boy, Kenny getting in on the action. It would not last as CSMI would pop in the next 2 ending the game with WIll Houle popping in the last one.
Green Goddess and J&J would take on the final game of the evening. Goddess would come out quickly getting the first in the first, Richie Dias and John Pierce would set up the goal. the lead wouldn't last as Derek Franco would bump one in from the set up of Captain Ahab, Pete Meegan. Meegan would pop in the next one getting the pass from John Ruggiero and low and behold, J&J would have a lead. The lead wouldn't last, as Richie Dias would roar back set up all alone in front of the net as Joel Cooper put it right on his tape. The tie would last until 4 minutes into the third when Gary "Showtime" Myers would get the go ahead and the game winner ultimately. Myers would get the mystery goal set up by Rick Vasconcelos. And then it was over, 4 more goals by the Goddess and it was over. Cooper and Dias would have there way with J&J and that would do it. J&J cannot seem to get it together. Goddess has had their number from the beginning.
What a night, hope you all have been good. Cause Santa is watching. He's always watching.
