Shutdown III

November 24, 2020

The Ahab Report

That's right, You guessed it!  Back by popular demand, it's Shutdown III, starring two weeks of nothing appearing nightly in all RI rinks beginning November 30th through December 13th.  Shutdown III ain't too much compared to the original shutdown back in the spring.  That one was pretty pretty good as far as shutdowns go.  All postponed games have been moved to Christmas Day for safe keeping.

Go figure and fortunately for us, while we wait a week and a half for the shutdown to begin, The League managed to schedule Six games on Three different nights.  On the first night, J&J Auto and CMSI both managed shutouts over their opponents behind strong goaltending from Sean Agiar and sub Shannon Murphy.  John Ruggeiro scored 3 goals and an assist and Rick Roderick picked up 2 goals and 2 assists in J&J's 8-0 route of Kay's.  CMSI, with a goal and assist from Brian Sally and sub Keith Hartman, knocked off Green Goddess 2-0.

On the second night of fun and excitement, J&J Auto's Earl Ledoux provided all the action anyone could handle, by slipping past his defender late in the game and zipping one past the goalie for the 3-2 win over James Auto.  Meanwhile, JNM Transportation beat up on Kay's, 5-0.  Chris Santiago ordered the code red with the shutout.

And on the third night we rose again in fulfillment of the schedule with Green Goddess taking on James Auto this Saturday at 815pm followed by J&J Auto vs CMSI Miami at 920pm.
