After a successful draft that lasted merely 2 hours (a possible new record) the new season is upon us. The teams have been uploaded to the website and I am awaiting on jersey numbers from captains to have teams properly completed. The schedule has also been uploaded with proper times, dates and opponents with all of the games being played at the RI SportsCenter on route 146 (where the games were played last year). 

There's been a change to the high stick rule: any high sticking calls are now non-penalties unless the high stick makes contact with another player (then either a minor or major penalty will given). A high sticking call will be enforced when a player touches the puck with their stick above their shoulders with the only exception coming when the play is a shot on goal. A high sticking call will be made if a player in front of the net (after a shot has been taken) if a players stick touches the puck above the crossbar (not his shoulders).
